How to convert WebP to JPG

    1. Drop your .webp files into the box, or tap it to choose them.
    2. Each image converts straight away. Lower the quality slider first if you want smaller files.
    3. Download the JPGs one at a time, or all together as a zip.

Why are images saved as WebP?

WebP is an image format from Google that makes pictures smaller than JPG at the same quality, so many websites now serve their images as WebP. When you save one of those pictures, you get a .webp file, and some older apps, photo printers and upload forms don't accept it. JPG works almost everywhere.

WebP images can have transparent areas, which JPG can't store. The converter fills those areas with the background color you pick, white by default.

    Frequently asked questions

    Are my images uploaded?

No. Your browser does the conversion, so your images never leave your device.

    Will I lose quality?

At the default 92% the difference is hard to see. Move the slider to 100% for the highest quality, though the files will be larger.

Can I convert animated WebP files?

Only the first frame is converted, because JPG can't hold animation.
