How to convert a PDF to JPG

    1. Choose JPG or PNG and a resolution. Standard works well for sharing and slides.
    2. Drop your PDF into the box, or tap it to choose the file.
    3. Download single pages, or download them all as a zip.

    Which resolution should I use?

    • 72 DPI makes small files for previews and thumbnails. Small text may be hard to read.
    • 150 DPI suits email, chat, presentations and websites. An A4 page comes out about 1240 × 1754 pixels.
    • 300 DPI is for printing or zooming into fine detail. Images have four times as many pixels as at 150 DPI, so files are much larger.

Pick PNG for pages that are mostly text, diagrams or screenshots, where it keeps edges sharp. JPG gives much smaller files for pages full of photos.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The pages are drawn as images in your browser using Mozilla's open source PDF.js, so the file never leaves your device.

Can I convert only some pages?

Every page is converted, and you can download just the ones you need. For a large PDF, cut out the pages first with Split PDF to save time.

Why does it say my PDF needs a password?

The PDF is encrypted. Open it with its password in your PDF reader, save a new copy without a password, and convert that copy.
