How to remove duplicate lines

How duplicates are matched
Two lines count as duplicates when they are exactly the same. The first copy stays where it was and later copies are removed, so the original order is kept unless you choose to sort.
Turn on Ignore upper and lower case to treat "Apple" and "apple" as the same line, which is useful for email addresses. Ignore spaces at the start and end catches copies that differ only by a stray space, a common problem with lists pasted from spreadsheets.
