How to merge PDF files

Why merge in the browser?
Contracts, bank statements and medical forms are the kind of PDFs people most often need to combine, and they are also the ones you least want to hand to a stranger's server. This tool uses the open source pdf-lib library to join the files on your own device. Pages keep their original size, text and links.

Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. The files are read and merged in your browser, so they never leave your device.
Is there a limit on file size or number of files?
There is no fixed limit. Very large files depend on your device's memory, but a few hundred pages is fine on most computers and phones.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
No. Encrypted PDFs have to be unlocked first. Open the file with its password in your PDF reader, save or print it as a new PDF, and add that copy here.
Can I remove or reorder pages inside a file?
This tool keeps every page of each file. To pick out certain pages, run the file through Split PDF first and merge the result.
